What Business I Am Excited For In 2019

I have just launched a Solar Company to end 2018 and to go into 2019. The Solar Industry has been seeing exponential growth for years now. Homeowners across the country are starting to see Solar pop up in every single neighborhood and it is becoming more accepted and appreciated. 2019 is going to be the best year yet for Solar. This is for a combination of reasons. The country is at a tipping point where they are understanding the benefits of Solar Energy and that it is real and here to stay. Additionally, the Federal Government is offering a 30% Tax Credit for homeowners to go solar as an incentive. This has been going on for years, but in 2020 (because the quota for Solar is being reached) the Tax Credit is going down to 26% and then going away entirely. 2019 is the last year with the biggest government incentives to go Solar! This is why we should expect to see another massive increase in homeowners going Solar in 2019! If you have ever been interested in Solar, check out our Solar Company trupowersolarenergy.com We answer all of your questions and make sure to put you in touch with the best local Solar Company when you are ready to take additional steps in learning about Solar!

Why Anybody Can Start Selling Online

Why Anybody Can Start Selling Online

E-Commerce is one of my favorite side projects that I work on. It seems like there are more and more e-comm shops popping up every day — and for good reason. 2019 is projected to be the biggest year yet for e-commerce.

Still, I’ve found that 90% of stores out there are doing it wrong. Putting up a Shopify store on your lunch break and dropshipping some random product from China doesn’t work like it used to.

So, what are the 10% doing? They’re leveraging their brands.

Instead of building a brand from scratch selling God knows what, intelligent marketers are leveraging the brand they already have to sell customized merchandise.

Take my friend Mark Lutchman, for example. After amassing a 6 figure following, Mark decided it was time to venture into e-commerce. With my help, he was able to hit 4 figures revenue in just a few days.

Magic? No.

Calculated? Yes.

The future? Maybe.

Not All Business Is Good Business

Business Advice

Not All Business Is Good Business

This is a lesson myself and other Entrepreneurs have learned the hard way over the years.  Not all business is good business.

Business owners, especially ones that are in the start-up phase looking for growth, are most susceptible to taking on business that they shouldn’t.  Entrepreneurs need to trust their gut, and learn to not take on all business just for the sake of more business.  Some people and business will become more of a headache than you can ever imagine.  Here’s a real story as a recent example:

One of my business partners put me on the phone with a lady who was interested in buying Solar Leads.  I got on the phone with her and for whatever reason she was very stuck up, entitled, and rude.  I brushed it off and thought maybe she was having a bad day and I’d take her business and give her another opportunity.

I put her on the phone with my other business partner to do the deal because quite frankly I wasn’t interested in talking to her and wanted him to feel her out.  After my partner got off the 2nd call, he echoed the same things I had said previously.

Again, we brushed it off and took her business.  (This is where you should realize when people show you their colors, believe them.  Realize that doing business with the right people is way more valuable and will save you time, money, and a headache).

48 hours in to the campaign we had sent her 10+ leads in the zip codes areas she provided.  This was an incredible start to a campaign, until she called my business phone early the following morning.

She proceeded to scream and yell at me (someone she doesn’t even know) complaining that all the leads were in the wrong zip code areas and we were “out to get her” and we “are all the same”.  As I proceeded to attempt to peacefully have a conversation about the situation, she continued to interrupt me and dump all her negativity on me.

10 minutes later after she calmed down, I simply explained to her what kind of person I am, and how I strive only to do good business.  I explained how we literally copied the Zip Codes she sent us, and imported them into the system.

She then proceeded to check her sent emails where she then realized she sent us THE WRONG ZIP CODE LIST and she “couldn’t believe it.”

She began half-ass apologizing and tried to act as if she didn’t just scream at me for 20 minutes.

This was now the 3rd negative encounter with this woman and I knew exactly what to do. I have made many mistakes in the past continuing doing business with bad people and every time is has bit me in the you know what.

I calmly told her that I had never been treated like that before by a new client and its best we part ways.  I told her I would give her a full refund immediately and she could additionally keep the 10-15 free leads we sent her valued at $80/lead. (A total extra value of $800+!!!)

After she pleaded her case to stay as my client, and I respectfully told her that wasn’t an option, her true colors came out again as she began to scream and yell and hang up the phone.

Once that happened again, I realized I had made the right decision in getting rid of her as a client.

What I have realized over the years is you should always go with your gut before it becomes a bad situation.  When people show you who they are one time, realize that is who they are, and it will happen again, and nip it in the bud, before it comes back to bite you.

One of the great things about being an entrepreneur is the ability to choose who you want to work with, and who you don’t.

Not all business is good business.

Top Source Of New Customers – 2018

Top Source Of New Customers – 2018

Over the course of the last 12 months, my largest source of new customers has come from referrals. That may sound simple, but there needs to be strategy involved behind it. I always incentivize my team and my current/past customers to bring me more business. I do this by either telling them I will give them a discount on my services, or I offer them a monetary incentive. Every time a customer or a team member of mine brings me a new costumer, and they get rewarded, this gets them excited to continue referring their network to me. Also, for example, whenever I do good work for a customer, I always make sure to ask them for a review on Google and on my Social Media pages. I always push these reviews directly to my website. This is a key factor in building your online brand so when referrals look you up, they see good and recent successes. Because of a good online presence, and great incentives for team members and clients, referrals has become my #1 source of new customers over the past 12 months.

Most Effective Marketing Methods – 2019

Business Advice

Most Effective Marketing Methods – 2019

Just like most business owners will tell you it’s important to have MSI (Multiple Sources of Income), I firmly believe it is also crucial to use (MMS) Multiple Marketing Strategies.  You want to diversify how are you generating leads, just like how you want to diversify where your income comes from.  You never want to limit yourself by generating leads from only one source.  Potential customers are scattered across the internet in different locations, and you need to find them.  If you only use one strategy for marketing, you are leaving significant money on the table.  You want your potential customers to be able to stumble upon you from many different locations, especially in multiple places on the internet.

In my personal experience, there is not one specific place all of my leads come from.  My leads come through a variety of different marketing channels.  I’ll detail four of them here:

SEO, Facebook Ads, Instagram, and Call Centers (Yes call centers still work on a large scale).

1) The first thing I make sure I do with my companies is to optimize my website for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purposes.  I want people to be able to look up my brand name or my services and be able to find me on the internet.  If people search your brand name, and you don’t pop up on Google, you have much bigger problems.  Everything begins with optimizing the website and to be able to convert potential traffic.  This is the foundation of your marketing strategy.  I personally will not even do marketing for a company unless they first let me optimize their website and enhance it so customers can be converted easily.  This means a variety of things including adding contact forms in different locations on the website, adding pop-up contact forms to the site, and making it simple for potential customers to request more information.

Once the website is completed and ready to convert, this is when I implement my other marketing strategies where the goal is to drive traffic to the website or landing page.

2) Running ads on Facebook has become the go to method for generating leads, and that’s for good reason.  Once you figure out exactly who your perfect target customer is and where they are located, it is very simple to target those exact people on Facebook with an Ad that will resonate with them. My team and I personally split test 10-20 Ad-sets at once at minimum.  We see which ones are receiving the most attention, and which ones are not.  We very quickly increase budget on the high performing ads, and decrease the budget on the low performing ads.  Over time, our PPL (price per lead) will significantly decrease as we figure out exactly what works for the niche we are targeting.  We have customers import their information directly into a Facebook form or direct them to a landing page off Facebook where they can input their information.  Here’s the key once leads are generated:  CALL THEM RIGHT AWAY!!! Not a week later, not a day later, not an hour later, CALL THEM INSTANTLY.  In my years of experience dialing leads, the conversion rate and appointment set rate is the absolute highest right after they input their information!! This is a huge piece of information that I see a ton of business owners not doing.

3) Moving on from Facebook, let’s talk about Instagram.  Instagram is quickly becoming the most talked about advertising platform in 2019.  Everyone in the marketing space is seeing the value of Instagram.  We use Instagram in a multitude of different ways, but for the sake of time, we’ll keep it brief.  One strategy we implement is creating a large number of Instagram accounts and having them all link back to our one main Instagram account for our main product or service.  Essentially, we build an army of accounts with bots attached them, following, liking, and Direct Messaging relevant people.  These people can be found by hashtags, specific locations, similar interests, etc.  What this does is allows people to come across a variety of different accounts that all lead back to the main account, rather than simply having one account for consumers to see.  This diversifies us and has paid huge dividends for our products and services.  Our company has even decided to sell this strategy as a service.  This includes the setup, the management, and much more because it’s such an amazing service that most people don’t have the time to set up  and manage themselves.

4) Finally, the one that may not resonate entirely with a lot of younger business professionals, is the call center.  The call center has become a huge piece of our business.  This can be outsourced fairly simply to an existing call center.  We simply buy lists online of relevant data, write up a well-versed script, and have people dialing the lists all day long!!  Data lists can be purchased for any type of vertical, and can even be narrowed down to zip code location if you want leads in a specific area!  I’ve met many business owners that think a call center wouldn’t benefit them, until I sit down with them and show them how much it actually can help grow their business.  Our call centers have become one of the biggest drivers of revenue we have.

In 2019 with everyone being on the Internet, there are an abundance of marketing strategies out there that can be and should be taken full advantage of.  Hopefully these four strategies help you jumpstart your marketing efforts, or increase your current marketing efforts!

Why Businesses With Global Impact Are Thriving

Why Businesses With Global Impact Are Thriving

For many business owners, success has always been measured purely in financial gain.  However, as times are changing, there has been a shift in corporate consciousness to continue to drive growth for shareholders, but also to make an impact in the world.  Companies seem to be striving more and more to create businesses with positive environmental and societal impacts.  I believe this is for a variety of reasons.

For one, the amount of people and information on the internet is at an all-time high. With the click of a button, one can determine what buying decisions are best for themselves, the environment, and society as a whole. That being said, people want to invest their dollars in companies and products that do more good than harm.  Consumers make a positive impact and feel a sense of virtue when they spend their money with businesses that are benefiting society.

Furthermore, cutting edge research and technological advances play a huge role in this rise of driving growth in business for societal impact.  Every single day new discoveries are made on how to make the world a better place, particularly in industries related to the environment and human well-being (healthcare).  When a business owner can earn an income to benefit his family and community AND make the world a better place, it’s a win-win.

As a business owner and entrepreneur, I am always looking to get involved with businesses that not only have growth potential, but that are also doing good in the world.  That is why one of my business ventures is a solar energy company called Tru Power Solar Energy.  This is the perfect business for motivated entrepreneurs who have an aspiration to make an impact on society.  Entrepreneurs can feel good about making a difference in the world, while also taking part in the company’s compelling financial incentives.  We help raise awareness about renewable energy and facilitate the process for home and business owners to make the switch to Solar.

As our society continues to progress, I believe the businesses you will see succeeding are those that have a positive impact on the world.  This is the way it should be.
